| The Rescue Boat had quite a busy summer, and whilst I think it fair to say that none of the shouts were life-threatening incidents, some new members of the crew were able to gain the kind of experience, which simply cannot be replicated in an exercise. Well done to all involved. |
| At the time of writing, the Rescue Boat is officially declared “Off Station”, and may remain that way until next spring, but it is pleasing to report an increase in crew numbers, and we are very optimistic about next season. |
| Unfortunately, we will not be repeating the Rescue Boat Ball at Grinkle this year, but be assured that we hope to host an even more splendid occasion at the same venue in 2009. |
| Financing has been secured for a new engine, so committee will not be pestering regular fundraisers to step up another gear, but best not to get too complacent either. |
